Prior to Lantern Capital Advisors, Chris Risey was Managing Director for Tunstall Consulting Inc. in Tampa, Florida, and had been with the firm continuously since 1997. Mr. Risey successfully helped his clients raise capital from a variety of institutions including banks, mezzanine and subordinated debt providers, venture capitalists and underwriters. Mr. Risey left Tunstall Consulting after being with the firm for nine years to provide his clients with a more reliable and cost-effective solution that would guarantee results and ensure client satisfaction. Prior to Tunstall Consulting, Mr. Risey was a CPA in the audit and advisory services group for Arthur Andersen in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Risey is very active in many local civic and business organizations. He is a past President and founding member of the Tampa Downtown Daybreak Rotary Club; past President of Financial Executives International of Tampa Bay and a board member for The Association for Corporate Growth Tampa Chapter. Mr. Risey is a Certified Public Accountant and a frequent speaker to industry groups, executive networks, and corporate meetings throughout the Southeast on business planning, strategy, and financing issues for growing companies.
Mr. Risey received his BS in Finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He was twice named Academic All-American (Men’s Basketball) and is a former Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar studying graduate business courses at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
David Thomas Director of Business Development Lantern Capital Advisors LLC Atlanta, Georgia
David Thomas serves as the Director of Business Development for Lantern Capital Advisors and is based in Atlanta. Mr. Thomas is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of relationships with business partners and banking institutions.
Mr. Thomas past experience includes President and Principal for P.T. Ventures LLC where he leveraged his entrepreneurial, management consulting, and business development background to assess various business opportunities and their viability in the market from consumer products to cutting-edge technology. Mr. Thomas also led Business and Corporate Development, Product Marketing, and Strategic Alliance efforts for three start-up software ventures ranging from an eProcurement offering to an online Marketplace focused on Supplier Diversity. Mr. Thomas spent over 10 years in management consulting with two different Big 6 Consulting Firms where he focused on Business Process Reengineering and Customer Relationship Management.
Mr. Thomas has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Jennifer Mooney Chief Operations Officer Lantern Capital Advisors LLC Atlanta, Georgia
Jennifer Mooney serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Lantern Capital Advisors. Ms. Mooney is responsible for the ongoing operations of the firm and consultants. Ms. Mooney directs Lantern's overall marketing and strategic planning programs, corporate communications, and facilitates client development through marketing and client services programs.
Ms. Mooney also serves as a consultant and strategist for our client engagements and is responsible for matching clients financing needs to institution requirements. Prior to Lantern Capital Advisors, Ms. Mooney was the Vice President of Client Services and eBusiness for Hydrogen Media where she was responsible for overall sales support and engagement delivery, and was a Director for IMRglobal in their eBusiness solutions group, where she led implementation engagements in the areas of e-commerce and online business strategy. She started her career in management consulting with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Houston, Texas in their Healthcare Solutions practice group.
Ms. Mooney has a B.A. in Economics and Government from Sweet Briar College in Virginia.
